M-IFW '08 made its mark in international premier fashion event by presenting the largest gathering of Asian talents in this year edition of Trend Asia which starts from 26th November to 29th November 2008, The event which held at The Gardens Hotel & Residences was officially opened by Mr. Heah Sieu Lay, Chairman of mifa, organiser of M-IFW'08.

"We decided to launch M-IFW 2008 with Truly Asia because it is in line with our goals to make Malaysia the hub of Asian fashion and to provide a platform for up-and-coming designers to showcase their work," said Ms. Syeba Yip, CEO of mifa. The first day of M-IFW'08 also showcased Villiam Ooi, mifa8 Fashion Forward and opening gala which feature grand collections by Syaiful Baharim, Key Ng and Granoff.

mifa brings you the best of fashion. On 28th November, Malaysia International Fashion Week is collaborate together with Russian Fashion Week to showcase Russian fashion designer Serguei Teplov for the first-time in Asia. MIFW'08 will be adds by Malaysian fashion flavour as Bumiputra Designers Association is showcase 15 designer members which leads by Puan Mahani Awang on 27th November.

"This is arguably the most extensive coverage any fashion event in Malaysia has ever received. We are reaching a multi-million audience via `live' broadcast and introducing Malaysia and Asia to the rest of the world," said Syeba Yip. This year sees the attendance of designers, buyers and members of the media from 23 countries from whole world. M-IFW has grown in size and stature as the most comprehensive Asian fashion event in terms of the diversity of countries represented. It is also largest fashion trade show in Malaysia.

Staging a unique fashion week, MIFW'08 where platform is built at Fashion Bar @ Redbox by MasterCard for designer retail and trade rooms. The special bar specially caters party rooms for selected gala and show guests and designer welcoming receptions.
