In the returns of the upcoming fifth edition of Malaysia
International Fashion Week 2008, organiser of the event,
Malaysian International Fashion Alliance (mifa) signed
Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with sponsors and partners
in a ceremony which held at The Gardens Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
With bigger and better than last year, Malaysia is set again
to become the major hub of Asian fashion and promoting fashion
industry in this country apart from neighbour country
Singapore and Hong Kong.
The latest fashion week will showcase mix breath of young
generations and top designers from all over Asia. Malaysia top
designers would feature showcase from Andy Sulaiman, Jonathan
Cheng, Carven Ong, Eric Choong, Calvin Thoo and Alvin Tay.
This year also, marking participation designers from The
Bumiputra Designers Association, where Tom Abang Saufi would
feature her latest collection.
Malaysia fasionista is set to witness latest collection of
Russian designer Serguei Teplov.
Signing the ceromony with main sponsors are L'Oreal Paris,
MasterCard, andrewsmodels, Hair Connection Salon and Academy
by Andy Ho, Pico International Sdn Bhd, RedBox Plus, The Edge
and Envy Magazine, and Carven Academy of Fashion, PJCAD,
Raffles Design Institute and SML Academy of Fashion. mifa
chairman Heah Sieu Lay and mifa CEO Syeba Yip were attended
the signing ceremony marking another fashion excitement soon
to hit Kuala Lumpur.
m-ifw is endorsed by Matrade (Malaysia External Trade
Development Corp). The organiser, Malaysian International
Fashion Alliance (mifa) pledge important role in promoting
trade and tourism to foreign buyers around the world. Aiming
to bring Malaysia to next level of fashion tourism and
industry.

The finalists were judged by celebrity judges such as Monica Lee
(Award Winning Face Art Artist), Steven Sunny (Award Winning
Stylist) and high profile judges such as Adeline Choo (Malaysian
Nature Society Representative/Miss Malaysia 2006/2007), Farah
Shamin (Head of Marcomm from Malaysian Today) & Jeen Lee (Editor
of i-Feel) together with Ms Doris Gwee, Product Manager for
sloggi Malaysia.
Judging were based on the most positive messages sent through
the artwork in relation to “saving the nature” and its artistic
design to rejoice with the sloggi bras.
Together celebrating the event, sloggi also throw out dance and
party with music artists such as Dayang Nurfaizah, Suki,
Estranged, Qings & Kueens and KL Stompers. Visitors were able to
get up-close & personal with MNS Ambassadors - Maya Karin
(Actress/TV Personality) & Adeline Choo (Miss Malaysia
2006/2007).
