In celebration of the first ever fashion festival in Malaysia, the Stylo Fashion Cube, is the first ever fashion cube to be built in heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The fashion cube is taking shape at the intersection of Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Raja Chulan. Known as the giant red box, sited on the Pavilion grounds adjacent to the mall, is purpose-built venue to play host to 10 consecutive days and nights of glamorous fashion galas lined-up as part of the STYLO KL Fashion Festival.

Stylo Fashion Cube is set to come alive and play host to a fashion festival unlike any other that has been organised here before. STYLO will be a true fashion experience in all its guises, encompassing and embracing all aspects of the fashion industry, from shoes, accessories, hair, make-up, modelling and styling, all the way to watches.

The Stylo Fashion Cube is a 3,500 square feet, state-of-the-art fashion arena providing the perfect venue for the SKLFF fashion galas, each with their own unique fashion themes and moods. The fashion cube have been the quintessence stage for the world’s biggest fashion events, namely fashion weeks in Milan, New York, and Paris. Fashion cubes are purpose-built to create vivacious fashion runways for staging the best fashion presentations for the most important trade buyers, fashion critics and celebrities of the world, in line with the knowledge that a great show needs a great stage.

A 20-metre runway dominates the centre stage surrounded by tiered seating up to a maximum of 400 guests. A sense surround sound system, created for a special event in Japan, featuring a technologically advanced multimedia projection capabilities will be outfitted to create a 3-dimensional theatrical experience with sounds, sights and explodes with creativity by renowned composer and eclectic performer, Dick Lee for the ultimate experience in fashion-entertainment.

THE ART OF BEAUTY
The Grand Opening night of STYLO KL Fashion Festival will be a truly exceptional and colourful affair. Themed ‘The Art of Beauty’, the night showcases Shu Uemura’s exceptional creativity in cutting-edge make-up and L’Oréal Professionnel’s penchant for audacious gravity-defying hair works, complimented by Melinda Looi’s latest designs.

LES NUITS SHANGHAI.
The golden days of Shanghai past will be revisited with celestial colors of red and demure models with carefully coiffure hair canvassing the internal ambience of the STYLO FASHION CUBE. CORUM timepieces are complimented with designs by Micheal Ong to create a dreamy, nostalgic showcase of an unforgettable era.

A MALAYSIANA JOURNEY.
An array of cultural, traditions, materials and designs come together in a presentation of “A MALAYSIANA JOURNEY”. The STYLO FASHION CUBE becomes a fashion playground for Tom Abang Saufi, Jendela Batik, Rizalman Ibrahim and Edric Ong. A stream of fabric play will accentuate this night of Malaysian eccentricity and bold modern-traditional designs.

THE STORY SO FAR.
Strikingly different with top Indian models and top yoga practitioners strutting down the runway, BritishIndia presents “The Story So Far…” a night showcasing the best from the protagonists of this contemporary classic style. Their first fashion show in 15 years, BritishIndia promises a majestic show worthy of sultans past and present.

CORUM PRESENTS THE GOLDEN TOURBILLON PANORAMIQUE
Corum, a brand renowned for their exceptional elegance and unique watch creations is the perfect foil for Khoon Hooi’s soft and sensual designs as they present their best timepiece collections including the breathtaking CORUM Golden Tourbillon Panoramique.

LEWRÉ PRESENTS BEN DE LISI
In association with Giorgio Armani Beauty, Malaysia’s Lewre Lew collaborates with London-based designer Ben de Lisi whose concept is “sexy modern clothes for the sexy modern woman” showcasing his Autumn/Winter ’08 collection fresh from the London Fashion Week ’08.
