Blast from the past: KL Six prodigy (Melinda Looi, Michael Ong, Sonny San, Eric Choong, Tom Abang Saufi and Edmunder Ser grace the audience during Malaysia International Fashion Week 2006 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Currently into its fourth installment, Malaysia International Fashion Week (M-IFW) is one of the major fashion week events in Asia. M-IFW has already generated high fashion in international fashion circuits. M-IFW has visibly heightened the awareness of Malaysia as a fashion destination and sparked interests in local fashion designers as well as bringing together the key players of the fashion industry under one roof. It draws the best designers from around Asia and gives them a platform to showcase their collections to buyers, media and industry heads from around the world.

M-IFW's theme for 2007 is "LOVE", and the belief that love can be conveyed through Fashion. M-IFW 2007 featuring Trend Asia 2008 will take place on 15 -18 November 2007 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Hosted in the modern metropolitan city of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is centrally located and is a hub for the areas designers.

The 4-day event is filled with runway shows, cocktail events and gala evenings as well as the prestigious Malaysian International Fashion Awards and the finals of the mifa8 Fashion Forward programme.

The event at Malaysia International Fashion Week (M-IFW) will comprise of 5 key elements: M-IFW Collection Showcase, M-IFW Showroom, Islamic Fashion Festival, M-IFW Luxury Lounge and M-IFA Gala

The inclusion of Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) the brainchild of Dato' Raja Rezza Shah, in M-IFW aims to promote and draw awareness to Islamic inspired fashion.

M-IFW is open to the public and is a great opportunity to view the regional talent and get a sneak peek into the coming year’s trends.

M-IFW is organized by Malaysian International Fashion Alliance (mifa), supported by Tourism Malaysia.
