13th April, Bandar Utama - Fashion On 1 was kicked off with a Fashion Gala Night, where the town's designers, celebrities and beautiful people congregated to grace the glamorous occasion. Guests wined and dined throughout the event and a giant fashion show emceed by Channel [V]'s VJ Dominic Lau was staged. Entertainment included tribal sounds from the Aseana Percussion Unit and a Brazilian capoeira dance.

 Touted as its most glamorous event, 1 Utama’s Fashion Week “Fashion On 1” returns for the third year and take place from the 13th to 22nd. During the fashion extravaganza, shoppers get their fashion fix from the hottest Spring/Summer trends showcased at the mall.
 

Miss Selfridge

Already an household name in the industry, “Fashion On 1” is synonymous with its remarkable ‘stage presence’, pun intended. In 2005, spectators were wowed with a cutting edge double layered super runway. Last year, magnificent cylindrical pillars marked the rise of fashion in 1 Utama.
 

French Connection

For 2007, the look is confident, minimalist and sleek. With all fashion shows presented at concourse Oval, a two-storey stage has been specially constructed on the lower ground floor with its vital statistics 24 ft (height), 70 ft (length of runway), 32 ft (wide). Meanwhile the mall has chosen white as the color palette for Fashion On 1 this year.
 

Tangoo

Since fashion is all about crossing boundaries, the shopping centre’s visual merchandising team took inspiration from the Japanese art of origami. Creatively designed fashion screens are used to represent the ‘unfolding’ of fashion ideas flowing through 1 Utama. The screens are also wrapped in soft organza with lights illuminating from the floor to create an air of mysterious elegance.
 

Three Point Six

A new feature for Fashion On 1, seating is introduced for the first time so that shoppers can sit back, relax and watch the back to back fashion shows in total comfort.
 

Noor Arfa

Shoppers look forward to 38 fashion shows presented by international brands and local fashion houses. From summer sundresses, sexy tank tops to batik, denim and evening wear, fashionistas will receive plenty of dressing tips.
 

SEED

For additional ideas, shoppers also get a sneak preview of what 1 Utama’s fashion tenants have in store for the season via 26 Fashion Showcases that are located at LG Oval.
 

Forever 21

The showcases feature mannequins stylishly donning apparel and accessories from the mall’s fashion brands.
