30th January , Bangkok - ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Spring & Summer at Central World was a preview and press release of the up coming events in Thai Fashion, ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Spring & Summer at Central World, presented by ELLE Magazine of Thailand, which will mark a new step in fashion industry, the events that take place twice a year. The sponsors for 2007 Spring & Summer event are the cosmetic line Bobbi Brown and The Bangkok Post, which help support Thai fashion industry to have equivalent quality as International Fashion. The fashion week event will help Thai designers to present their latest collections according to seasonal trend.

Normally, Fashion Week in New York and France take place twice a year, for Spring/Summer collections, and for Autumn / Winter collections. As for Thailand, it is impossible to hold these events at the same time as New York, or France due to budget, and preparation of designers.

1) ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Spring & Summer at Central World is to be held in Bangkok on February 22rd - 25th at Central World. The objective of ELLE Fashion Week is to create a central stage for talented Thai designers to showcase their latest collections. By having all the top designers at one place, the event has become the largest fashion event in Thailand

Designers: The designers to be in ELLE Fashion Week 2007 Spring & Summer at Central World are reviewed by the ELLE team. The main criteria for selecting designers are originality in design, quality craftsmanship, and capacity to produce. This year we are in the process of selecting a total of 11 designers – Zenithorial / Metinee by Jintana / Pisit / Kai / AB Normal / Vick Teerut / 27 Friday / Nopparat Charapok / T-ra / Headquarter / Ong-art Niramon / The designers and fashion houses under review are the mix of the well-established designers, contemporary fashion houses, hot and new local designers as well as young and upcoming Thai designers. Each designer is requested to create a ready-to-wear collection of at least 60 outfits exclusively for this event.
