Born in Tokyo.
Izumi first conceived ANTEPRIMA in the early 90’s,
her first collection comprised of knitwear and accessories.
She opened boutiques in Japan and Hong Kong.

In 1995. she moved to Milan and set up ANTEPRIMA headquarters
(design studio,
showroom and press office). For the first time, the collection
was presented
in Milan and Paris. The first boutique opened in Paris rue des
Saints Peres
and later, in Milan, Via della Spiga. |

In October 1998, ANTEPRIMA presented its Spring/Summer 99
Collection at Milano Collezioni Donna, the first time an Italian
brand created by a
Japanese woman was highlighted. |

The label is now available at 27 wholly owned boutiques,
and selected retailers worldwide.
In year 2000, production headquarter was set-up in Tuscany,
Italy and flagship boutique
opened at 9 Corso Como, in collaboration with architect Rodolfo
Dordoni. |

In 2002, ANTEPRIMA entered into license business with
ITOCHU JAPAN. The first collection of jewelry, watch, optical
wear and
Sunglasses was launched Spring/Summer 2002.

ANTEPRIMA’s advertising campaigns have been
shot by some of the most appreciated fashion photographers, such
as
Mario Testino, Jan Welters, Nathaniel Goldberg, Stephane
Sednaoui. |
